WOMENS's Rugby

Our Women’s team is currently a member of the Rugby Nova Scotia Division 1 and Division 2 leagues, as well as the Junior Fall 7’s series.

We are committed to excellence both on and off the field, and look to develop not only our athletes, but the character or our members as well. We provide an environment that generates excitement, passion, and a sense of belonging.

We welcome any potential members to feel free to attend one of our training sessions or to join us at our numerous social events. We have various teams available for different rugby skill and age levels, and provide a safe and informed atmosphere for learning the game.

Senior Women

Halifax Tars RFC is proud to field two Senior and one Junior Women’s teams in the Nova Scotia Rugby Union.

Our Division 1 side currently plays in the Division 1 Rugby Nova Scotia Women’s League against other clubs from Nova Scotia and PEI. It serves as an important source of player growth and development with many of our players and alumni competing at the high school, collegiate, provincial, and national levels.

Our Division 2 side currently plays in the Division 2 Rugby Nova Scotia Women’s League against other clubs from Nova Scotia and PEI. This side provides a developmental opportunity for players with less experience to participate at a less competitive level. No matter the age, ability or background, the Tars have a place for you.

Our junior 7’s side currently plays in the RNS Fall 7’s series, traveling around the province for weekend jamborees. Many of our junior players also play for the senior teams during the summer season.

All sides train together and selection is variable between teams on a game to game basis.
